Since the inception of the groundwater sampling program, the Arkansas State Plant Board has sampled 271 wells in 30 different counties. Of these, 41 wells tested positive for pesticides. When a well tests positive, it is scheduled to be resampled. If it continues to test positive an investigation is begun to locate the source of the contamination.
In addition to the wells listed here, the owners of 41 wells in six different counties denied access for sampling.
